1200 The General Hospital Corporation in Boston is looking for an EEG Technician. The incumbent will perform EEG examinations including awake, sleep, and bedside tests, while ensuring patient care and safety. Responsibilities involve operating EEG equipment, recording procedures, and maintaining equipment.
This role requires graduation from an EEG training program or an Associates Degree and previous patient care experience. A sign-on bonus of $5,000 and a competitive hourly pay of $28 are offered.
Under indirect supervision of the Chief Technologist, the incumbent performs standard electroencephalographic (EEG) examinations (includes routine awake and sleep EEGs, portable EEGs and long term monitoring bedside EEGs) on both outpatients and inpatients. Responsibilities include test set up, electrode application, conduction of tests and the collection of information pertinent to the interpretation of the tests. May perform clerical/administrative duties as required.
Ambulatory inpatients and outpatients are performed in the EEG laboratory. Bedside tests are performed on non‑ambulatory and ICU patients on the floors.
$5,000 sign‑on bonus available. Starting base pay rate is $28 per hour. This position offers comprehensive benefits and market competitive salary. Remote type: Onsite. Work location: 55 Fruit Street. Scheduled weekly hours: 36. Work shift: Night.
