Job summary

University of Louisville Physicians is seeking a Clinical Coordinator to support Neuropathology services, including ophthalmic and heart transplant pathology. You will prepare complex pathology cases, synthesize clinical data, and coordinate ancillary studies under board-certified pathologists.

You will manage case progression, ensure accurate documentation, and support regulatory compliance to promote timely diagnoses and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of anatomic pathology workflow.
• Surgical pathology documentation and case preparation.
• Ability to synthesize complex clinical, radiologic, and historical information into concise case summaries.
• Understanding of CPT coding to support documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review daily case assignments and prepare cases for physician review.
• Coordinate ancillary studies, consultations, and case progression.
• Prepare pathology report templates and coordinate immunohistochemical and molecular studies.
• Maintain case tracking and communication of workload status to pathologists.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives and departmental documentation.
