Job summary

UofL Health seeks a Clinical Coordinator to support Neuropathology, ophthalmic pathology, and heart transplant pathology. You will compile complex clinical histories, organize studies, and facilitate final sign-out by pathologists.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in an academic pathology & laboratory medicine setting.
• AAPC Certification required.
• Knowledge of pathology CPT coding.

Responsibilities

• Review daily case assignments and prepare neuropathology, ophthalmic pathology, and heart transplant biopsy cases for physician review.
• Coordinate ancillary studies and immunohistochemical stains, special stains, and molecular studies as directed by the pathologist.
• Prepare documentation and templates for pathology reporting and case progression.
