Montefiore Medical Center's Department of Pathology seeks an Academic Neuropathologist to join a staff of 35 Anatomic Pathologists in the New York area.

The role combines clinical service in surgical pathology, teaching residents and medical students, and opportunities for translational research.

Candidates should have neuropathology fellowship training or extensive subspecialty experience, with ophthalmic pathology experience desirable but not required.

Qualifications

• Neuropathology fellowship completed or extensive subspecialty experience.
• Training or experience in Ophthalmic Pathology is desired but not required.
• Hybrid subspecialty sign-out model with multiple subspecialties.
• Department handles ~66,000 Surgical Pathology cases/year including ~400 CNS tumors.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services in surgical pathology and interact with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams; participate in residency training and medical student education.
• Pursue collaborative and translational research opportunities.
