Job summary

Intel Corporation is seeking an experienced firmware/runtime software leader to architect and implement the neuromorphic AI execution stack for edge and robotics. You will guide cross-functional teams spanning hardware, compiler, and applications while remaining hands-on in design and implementation.

The role demands deep expertise in low-level systems software, AI workloads, and performance optimization, with a strong track record in C/C++ and Python.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher in a technical field related to Computer Science/Engineering.
  • 5+ years firmware/runtime/low-level systems software for AI or accelerators; exp with debugging, profiling, infrastructure and with CUDA, LLVM, oneAPI, SYCL, ONNX, IREE, OpenVINO, TVM.
  • 5+ years leading software architecture for complex AI/runtime/accelerator software; setting technical direction and guiding implementation.
  • 8+ years developing production-grade software in C/C++ and Python with performance-critical code and CI/CD.
  • 5+ years of experience with AI, deep learning, or optimization workloads using PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for Intel’s neuromorphic runtime software stack, while contributing hands-on to design and implementation.
  • Architect, develop, and optimize firmware and runtime components, including execution control, scheduling, data movement, memory management, and device interfaces.
  • Architect and deliver performance infrastructure, including profiling, tracing, debugging, benchmarking, and regression frameworks for optimization and product release.
  • Integrate the runtime stack into robotics and edge software ecosystems to enable efficient deployment and developer adoption.
  • Collaborate with hardware, compiler, systems, application, and solution teams, as well as customers and external partners, to translate platform requirements into software capabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership across the runtime area by establishing engineering practices, maintaining software quality, mentoring engineers, and scaling the team.
