Job summary

Intel's Neuromorphic Computing Lab in Hillsboro, Oregon, is seeking a design automation engineer to push the boundaries of brain-inspired computing. You will help bring Loihi designs from concept to silicon using a unique flow that combines asynchronous design with standard EDA tools.

You will collaborate with RTL, verification, and physical design teams while applying AI-driven automation and generative AI tools to improve productivity and silicon quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant field with 4+ years in ASIC tool flows.
  • Experience delivering multiple silicon tape-outs.
  • Proficient in Perl, TCL, Python; scripting for tool flows.
  • Knowledge of SystemVerilog and Object Oriented Programming.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance and maintain the asynchronous EDA tool flow with automation algorithms and tests.
  • Support RTL, verification, and physical design teams with automated solutions.
  • Enable early SW development by mapping silicon designs in simulation and emulation.
  • Write scripts to drive synthesis and physical design tools for low-power, high-performance designs.
