Job summary

Intel is seeking an experienced design automation engineer to advance the Loihi neuromorphic silicon program. You will help shape the tool flow spanning front-end design, physical implementation, verification, and FPGA emulation, with a strong software emphasis and openness to learning asynchronous design and AI-driven automation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s with 4+ years OR 2+ years with a Master’s in developing and deploying production-quality silicon design tools and flows.
  • 4+ years with the full ASIC tool suite: synthesis, place and route, ATPG, FEV, RV, STA, LVS/DRC.
  • 4+ years of scripting in Perl, TCL, Python, etc.
  • 2+ years delivering multiple silicon tape-outs.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance and maintain Loihi’s asynchronous EDA tool flow with automation, software tools, utilities and tests.
  • Support RTL designers, verification and physical design engineers with automated solutions to hit KPIs.
  • Enable early software development by mapping silicon designs in simulation and emulation.
  • Write custom scripts to manipulate synthesis and physical design tools for low power/high performance designs.
