BluePearl Pet Hospital in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Neurology Department. The role includes anesthesia induction, monitoring, radiography, and critical care support in a high-acuity emergency/specialty setting.

Qualifications

• Experienced veterinary technician with anesthesia experience.
• Proficient in radiography and clinical support in neurology.
• Strong communication with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia for neurology patients.
• Triage emergencies and monitor vitals including HR, BP, temp.
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
• Interpret vitals and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Identify arrest risk and initiate CPR, monitor responses.
• Place and maintain IV catheters and feeding tubes as needed.
• Mentor and train co-workers; provide compassionate client care.
