Job summary

Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center in Middletown, CT is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician Supervisor to lead our Neurology & Neurosurgery team. This role combines hands-on patient care with leadership and workflow coordination among specialists, residents, and technicians.

The ideal candidate has strong anesthesia monitoring skills, experience with ventilators, labs, and veterinary instruments, plus excellent client communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in a specialty veterinary hospital.
• CVT preferred; Associate degree in veterinary technology is a plus.
• Leadership, mentoring or supervisory experience preferred.
• Interest in pursuing Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) in Neurology encouraged.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and participate in on-call rotation; holidays included.

Responsibilities

• Lead Neurology team and supervise staff while providing direct patient care.
• Coordinate workflow and operational excellence for the Neurology service.
• Coach, mentor, and develop staff to build a high-performing team.
• Promote collaboration among specialists, residents, and technicians.
• Maintain high standards of patient care in a fast-paced specialty setting.
