Qualifications

• Strong knowledge base in veterinary nursing.
• Motivation to learn and advance in a fast-paced team.
• Ability to discharge, call backs, and refill medications.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards and core values.
• Discharge, perform call backs, and refill medications.
• Educate clients and document histories for clinicians.
• Monitor vital parameters including heart rate, pulse, capillary refill, mucous membranes, temperature and respiration.
• Understand normal vital parameters.
• Comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture.
• Set up intravenous fluids and operate infusion pumps.
• Restrain patients during consults and diagnostics.
