Job summary

National Jewish Health seeks a Neurology Technician to support advanced diagnostic testing in a specialized neurology program. You will prepare patients, operate neurophysiologic equipment, collect data, and draft preliminary reports under supervision.

The role emphasizes collaboration with neurology specialists, APPs, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate testing and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or similar allied health program.
• One year of allied health experience preferred; EMG/autonomic testing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms and ensure equipment is functional.
• Explain NCS/autonomic testing procedures to patients.
• Measure nerve activity with EMG instruments for physician review.
• Obtain NCS results and note artifacts; describe abnormalities.
• Monitor heart rate and BP during tests and guide breathing.
• Perform QSART to assess autonomic nerves.
• Organize data into preliminary reports for review.
