Neurology/Stroke NP/PA: Inpatient Care Leader

Zusammenfassung

The Duke University Hospital Neurology/Stroke Team APP (NP/PA) works with a multidisciplinary team to provide direct patient care in the neurology inpatient units and in the outpatient clinic setting on Duke's Durham campus.

This role requires NP/PA credentials, NC license, and BLS; prior critical care or neuro/stroke experience is preferred. Inpatient coverage includes 14 twelve-hour shifts monthly, daytime hours with some weekend requirements.

Qualifikationen

• NP: Accredited MSN or DNP ACNP program.
• PA: Accredited PA program with Bachelor's; Master's/Doctoral preferred.
• Active practice in acute care or hospital setting is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and coordinate patient care.
• Take patient histories, perform exams, and document findings in medical records.
• Order and schedule labs and imaging; explain procedures to patients.
• Provide teaching, coordinate discharge planning, and participate in research.
• Support neurology/Stroke team in inpatient units and outpatient clinics.
