Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Research Recruiter/Subject Coordinator to screen and enroll participants in clinical studies. You will work with study teams to confirm eligibility, obtain informed consent, and coordinate visits and follow-up tests.

Responsibilities include data extraction from medical records, entering information into CRFs, and assisting with insurance approvals and IRB communications. General clinic support may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 0-1 year of related work experience required.
• Medical terminology.
• Working knowledge of computer systems including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications, which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and enroll research subjects onto clinical research projects according to study protocols.
• Assess eligibility for inclusion based on contracts with physicians/nurses and protocol.
• Discuss informed consent with research subjects and assist with scheduling appointments and follow-up tests.
• Learn protocol and monitor adherence; identify and report protocol compliance issues.
• Extract data from hospital/clinic records and enter into CRF systems.
• Assist with insurance approvals for subject participation and scheduling tests.
• Assist investigator with correspondence with IRB.
• May perform job duties across clinics as needed.
