Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to screen and enroll patients in trials, ensure protocol adherence, and manage data entry and IRB communications.

You will work with physicians, nurses, and study staff, coordinating visits, obtaining consent, and assisting with insurance approvals as needed. Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of experience required; proficient in MS Office and medical terminology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1-2 years of related work experience required.

• Working knowledge of computer systems including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications, which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Responsibilities

• Recruits and enrolls research subjects onto clinical research projects according to study protocols.
• Checks eligibility criteria with the medical record and verifies information with the clinical research staff.
• Discusses informed consent with research subjects and assists with scheduling visits and follow ups.
• Learns protocol and ensures adherence to protocols by staff and investigators.
• Extracts data from hospital records and enters into the database for case report forms.
• Assists with insurance approvals and scheduling tests or admissions for subjects.
• Assists investigator with correspondence with IRB.
• May perform duties in other clinics as needed.
