Job summary

The Boston Medical Center seeks a Research Assistant for the Neurology Research department in Boston, MA. This on-site role supports patient recruitment, data collection, and coordination with the research team to prepare reports and grant materials.

Responsibilities include enrolling participants, scheduling visits, maintaining databases, and assisting with IRB approvals and study administration while upholding strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is required by time of hire.
• Experience in clinical research or public health is preferred, especially with children and families.
• Experience recruiting subjects and understanding ethical/technical conduct of research is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in data collection and provide feedback on study progress.
• Recruit subjects using approved methods and referrals.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed consent from participants and families.
• Schedule visits and manage reminders and participant reimbursements.
