Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine in Odessa, TX, is expanding neurology services in the Department of Internal Medicine. This position offers outpatient coverage with diagnostic capabilities, including EEGs, EMGs and NCV, and provides opportunities to develop a new practice with academic and institutional backing.

Qualifications

MD/DO or equivalent.
Completion of Neurology Residency or Fellowship.
Ability to obtain a TX medical license.
Foreign Medical Graduates Only: ECFMG Certification OR Equivalency Certification.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients through detailed medical histories and physical neurological exams.
Orders and interprets tests including MRIs, CT scans, EEGs and lumbar punctures.
Prescribes medications, manages therapies and develops care plans for chronic conditions.
Educates patients on health management strategies.
Collaborates with additional healthcare professionals as needed.
Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.
Participate in bedside teaching and lectures for fellows, residents and medical students.
