Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection procedures and venipuncture following established procedures.
• Verify order requests and confirm patient information prior to drawing blood.
• Label all specimens and transport to the appropriate processing area.
• Perform specimen processing tasks including accessioning, centrifugation and packaging.
• Pickup and deliver blood, other specimen types and lab supplies.
