Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a physician to join the Department of Neurology, Pain Medicine, at the Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. This open rank/track faculty position offers an opportunity to build a comprehensive, academic pain medicine practice within a multidisciplinary neurological institute.

You will evaluate and treat acute and chronic pain disorders, perform interventional procedures, and contribute to teaching, research, and program development.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pain Medicine Fellowship
• Eligible for an Ohio Medical License

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients with acute and chronic neurologic pain disorders in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating pharmacologic, behavioral, rehabilitative, infusion-based, and interventional therapies.
• Perform image-guided and ultrasound-guided interventional pain procedures within training and credentialing.
• Collaborate with Neurosurgery, PM&R, Psychiatry, Anesthesiology, Orthopaedics, Oncology, Rehabilitation and Primary Care as part of a multidisciplinary pain program.
• Teach and supervise medical students, residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers.
• Participate in clinical research, multicenter trials, quality improvement initiatives, or other scholarly activities.
