Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, conducting follow-up visits, and educating patients. Requirements include a Master's degree in Nursing, a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, and at least six months of experience in long-term care.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
• DEA License and CPR BCLS/BLS certified.
• Experience in Neurology is preferred.

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Neurology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Neurology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with neurological disorders, including epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and other neurological conditions. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including medication management and non‑pharmacologic interventions
• Conduct regular follow‑up visits to monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide education and support
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure a multidisciplinary approach
• Provide patient and family education on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize patient care delivery
• Perform comprehensive assessments to accurately diagnose and treat patients with neurological conditions

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience in long‑term care or a skilled nursing facility
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
• DEA License
• CPR BCLS/BLS certified
• Must hold a Master’s Degree in Nursing
• Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• A year of experience in Neurology
• Preferred experience in documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.); training provided
• Great organizational and time management skills
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand/walk/work on feet up to 6‑8 hours per day
