Job summary

The Southeast Permanente Medical Group (TSPMG) in Atlanta, GA, seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Neurology team. You will assess, diagnose, treat, educate, and manage neurological conditions in collaboration with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team.

This role emphasizes comprehensive patient care, medication management, care coordination, and ongoing quality improvement, leveraging HealthConnect EMR and state regulations.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• At least 3 years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• At least 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience.
• Current Georgia RN license.
• Current Georgia APRN license with prescriptive authority.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and evaluation of presenting neurological concerns.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies, diagnostic testing, and screenings to develop diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and treatments in line with guidelines and state regulations.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive health measures.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the HealthConnect EMR.
• Collaborate with neurologists and other healthcare professionals for coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, and continuing education.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
