Northwestern Medicine seeks a Nurse Clinician for the Neurology clinic at Lake Forest Hospital. This part-time role (20 hours/week) covers Monday and Thursday, 7:00am–5:30pm, in a multidisciplinary environment.

The position requires RN licensure in Illinois, BLS CPR certification, and nursing experience within the last five years (or recent graduate within two years). Preference for a BSN and ambulatory/acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse license in Illinois.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR.
• Current experience within past five years or new nursing graduate within past two years.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in alignment with OSHA standards.
• Perform nursing assessments and document findings in the medical record.
• Provide pre-attending care including dosing, vital signs, and patient education.
• Demonstrate clinical competency in routine nursing duties and specialized procedures.
• Triage telephone calls and coordinate patient care with the care team.
• Communicate with other departments and outside agencies as needed.
• Support staff and physicians with daily problem solving and decision making.
