Job summary

StartupNWA is seeking a Neurology Advanced Practice Provider to join the Washington Regional JB Hunt Transport Services Neuroscience Institute in Northwest Arkansas. This outpatient clinic role focuses on neurologic assessment and treatment in a collaborative environment.

The APRN must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, hold an unencumbered NP license with CPR certification, and have national certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Unencumbered NP license and CPR required.
• National certification required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a clinical nursing role; vascular neurology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations to evaluate health and diagnose illnesses.
• Order and perform diagnostic tests such as x-rays and laboratory tests.
• Determine, plan, and initiate appropriate treatment, and adjust treatment if necessary.
• Prescribe and dispense medications.
• Document medical information and maintain electronic medical records.
• Educate, instruct, and counsel patients and families on health problems and care plans.
• Request consultations or referrals with other health care providers.
• Stay current with medical research and trends; support research projects.
