Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide safe, therapeutic, and efficient care. You will assist in direct patient care, perform treatments, and support the care team with office workflows and patient education.

The role requires strong communication, efficient patient flow management, and adherence to patient confidentiality. The position involves obtaining vital signs, assisting with procedures, vaccines, and coordination of diagnostic services under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; MA program preferred.
• 1 year Medical Assistant experience required or completion of MA program.
• Basic Life Support certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient visit information and vital signs.
• Collect specimens and ensure proper handling and tracking.
• Prepare patients and assist with procedures and vaccinations as directed by supervisor.
• Document prescriptions and refills per protocol.
• Support provider during visits and educate patients and families.
