• Checks schedules and organizes patient flow; ensures pre-visit information is completed.
• Coordinates appointments for specific care and diagnostic procedures.
• Alerts physician/provider of special needs and interpreters if required.
• Takes vital signs and records in the patient’s EHR.
• Accompanies patients to exam/procedure rooms and assists with mobility and exam prep.
• Assists physician/provider in examination and provides patient instructions.
• Enters orders and additional information in the EHR as directed.
• Follows infection control policies and maintains clinic standards.
• Handles discharge, communications, and clerical tasks as assigned.
• Manages lab/radiology reports, forms, scheduling, and insurance checks.
• Sets up exam rooms and maintains equipment per department protocols.
• Respects patient rights and responds to emergencies appropriately.
