Job summary

Riverhills Neuroscience is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) for our Neurology department in Norwood, OH. Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends or nights. Responsibilities include organizing patient flow, assisting with exams, and maintaining accurate EHR records.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, EMR experience, and 1–2 years MA experience preferred. Comprehensive benefits and a strong focus on infection control and patient care are offered.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient flow and check schedules to support providers.
• Rooms patients promptly and accompany to exam rooms.
• Assist patients with transfers, dressing, specimen collection, and preparation.
• Perform screenings, collecting patient history, and charts in the EHR.
• Assist providers with clinical procedures as assigned.
• Support timely patient flow and efficient clinical operations.
• Relay instructions to patients and/or family members.
• Manage and send/receive medical records, lab reports, and referrals.
• Verify insurance, update demographics, and maintain accurate charts.
• Schedule appointments and complete required documentation and forms.
• Coordinate and communicate with providers to ensure timely response to patient needs.
• Clean and stock rooms and instruments between visits to maintain infection control.
• Order and restock clinical supplies; operate sterilizer and equipment.
• Set up exam rooms, instruments and materials per protocols.
• Travel may be required between locations.
• Other duties as assigned.
