Job summary

Singing River Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform a mix of clinical and administrative tasks under direct supervision of physicians or mid-level providers in the Neurology clinic. The role supports patient intake, scheduling, and charting while maintaining a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

The ideal candidate has MA training (ABHES/CAAHEP) with CMA/RMA credentials and BCLS, plus prior customer service experience. Orientation includes de-escalation training.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate from ABHES or CAAHEP-accredited MA program preferred.
• One year of customer service experience in registration, scheduling or insurance verification.
• CMA or RMA certification and BCLS training preferred or required.
• Must complete de-escalation training by orientation date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with registration, scheduling and insurance verification for patients.
• Support front office staff and physician team under supervision.
• Perform clinical and administrative tasks as delegated by providers.
• Maintain professional communication with patients and team.
