Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Staff Nurse (weekender) for the Neurology Med/Surg unit. The 6 Neuro unit cares for MSK and cerebrovascular patients, with EEG monitoring bed capacity.

Day and night shifts run 7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am, respectively, and teamwork with multiple disciplines is essential. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive nursing care and collaborating with physicians, therapists, and support staff to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required.
• Effective communication skills required.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork and flexibility.
• PALS/ACLS/TNCC/ATLS certifications as department dependent.

Responsibilities

• Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with other health care providers.
• Environment of care may be long term, emergent, critical, or procedural.
• Collaborate with physician teams, PT/OT, SLP, and other disciplines to deliver care.
