Job summary

Cleveland Clinic's M80 Neuro Transitional Care Unit seeks an RN for the Weekender Flex Program. You will work two 12-hour weekend shifts and one 12-hour weekday shift, caring for neurological med/surg patients with advanced monitoring in a fast-paced unit.

The position offers full-time status with benefits, 36 hours scheduled but 44 hours paid, to support work-life balance. Minimum qualifications include RN licensure, BLS, and 1 year acute care or military RN experience; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and family with educational materials considering cultural issues and other special concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
