Neurology Franchise Head
About Servier

Servier Pharmaceuticals is an independent, commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company built to think differently about what long-term impact can look like in healthcare. Launched in 2018 and backed by the strength and stability of the Servier Group, our foundation-governed model gives us the freedom to invest for the future, move with purpose, and stay focused on where patients need us most.

In less than a decade, we have grown from a small U.S. presence into a rapidly expanding, multi-billion-dollar organization with an award-winning culture, six commercial products, and a portfolio strengthened through bold strategic investments and innovation. Our teams are helping advance important new treatment options for patients facing serious diseases with high unmet need, particularly in rare oncology and neurology.

Our ambition is clear: to build a leading U.S. biopharmaceutical company known for scientific excellence, operational strength, and deep commitment to patients. Just as important is how we build it. We are creating a culture that values entrepreneurship, collaboration, accountability, and the belief that individuals at every level can shape the future of the company.

For people who want more than a job — who want the opportunity to build, lead, grow, and make a measurable impact — Servier offers the chance to be part of a company with purpose, momentum, and the ability to help define what comes next for patients and for our industry.

To support Servier Pharmaceuticals’ goal of becoming a leader in neurology, we are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial Neurology Franchise Head to establish and scale a high-potential U.S. neurology franchise. This leader will shape the commercial and medical affairs strategy for Servier’s growing neurology portfolio, with an emphasis on rare neurological diseases.

This highly visible leadership role will define the franchise vision, build the operating model, and lead execution as Servier advances its 2030 strategy and expands its presence in rare neurological diseases.

This role requires close collaboration with Servier's global headquarters in France, and alignment with Servier Group’s international operations spanning over 150 countries. This position is critical to Servier's global growth ambitions.

The ideal candidate will operate successfully by rolling up their sleeves to solve problems while simultaneously setting strategic direction. You will work closely with our R&D neurology team and collaborate with internal teams and external strategic partners to bring innovative treatments to patients with rare neurological disorders, including refractory epilepsies, rare movement disorders, and neuromuscular disorders. An important forward-looking responsibility of this role is to identify, champion, and operationalize AI-native opportunities that accelerate business performance, enhance decision-making, and create sustainable competitive advantage.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive launch strategies for neurology products, aligning them with overall business objectives
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of neurology products, from candidate nomination to commercialization, launch, and post-launch activities, including managing budgets and timelines
  • Conduct market research and analysis to understand market trends and the competitive landscape
  • Translate market dynamics into strategic direction, develop forecasts, and identify key performance indicators (KPIs)
Medical Affairs
  • Oversee Medical Affairs to ensure scientific credibility and alignment between commercial strategy and medical/scientific communications
  • Engage with healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, and key opinion leaders as a key point of contact
  • Support evidence generation and real-world data initiatives
  • Serve as the primary U.S. liaison to Servier's global neurology leadership and R&D teams based in France
  • Align U.S. commercial and medical strategies with global brand plans while adapting for local market dynamics
  • Participate in global governance committees and contribute U.S. market insights to inform pipeline prioritization and development decisions
  • Work closely with global teams to ensure consistency and best practices in launch plans and execution
  • Collaborate with international affiliates to share learnings and leverage global resources, data, and expertise
  • Navigate a matrixed environment, influencing without direct authority across geographies and functions
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and coordination across marketing, sales, medical affairs, and market access
  • Collaborate with R&D leadership to ensure seamless transition from development to commercialization
Education and Required Skills
  • Minimum 10+ years significant leadership experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
  • Proven track record of successful product launches, preferably in neurology or rare disease
  • Experience overseeing or partnering closely with Medical Affairs functions
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and business acumen for managing teams, budgets, and making data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills—including the ability to influence across cultures and time zones
  • Proven project management skills to drive complex programs from planning through execution
Preferred
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MD, PhD, PharmD)
  • Deep understanding of the neurology/neuromuscular, or rare disease fields, including disease processes, treatment options, and the competitive landscape
  • Experience working within a global pharmaceutical organization, including collaboration with international headquarters, global brand teams, or cross-regional functions
  • Experience in rare disease commercialization
  • Prior P&L ownership or franchise leadership experience
  • Experience working with European-headquartered pharmaceutical companies
