Job summary

Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide patient care for neurology patients, including new and recheck visits, histories, exams, and education.

The role involves coordinating neurodiagnostic testing, triaging calls, and documenting in a timely manner. Experience in general neurology or internal medicine is preferred, with inpatient duties possible.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Certification and licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Prefer experience in general neurology or internal medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and manages new and recheck visits.
• Performs and/or updates thorough histories and physical exams.
• Orders/co-ordinates neurodiagnostic testing.
• Triages patient phone calls and discusses test results and follow-ups.
• Documents visits and notes in a timely, complete format.
• Educates patients and families and provides follow-up information.
• Presents and reviews materials with patients in a thorough and empathetic manner.
• Facilitates family conferences and may participate in inpatient evaluation or program development.
