Responsibilities

• Conduct specialized clinic follow-up for post-stroke and TIA patients.
• Manage care for patients who have undergone procedures such as IV thrombolytics, thrombectomy, or aneurysm embolization.
• Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and multidisciplinary teams for integrated care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests relevant to neurological conditions.
• Educate patients on condition, treatment plans, and prevention strategies.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Outpatient Neurology Physician Assistant, you will join our well-established hospital-employed group at CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. Every day you will focus on providing specialized care, working closely with physicians and other team members to assess, diagnose, and treat disorders of stroke and vascular neurological conditions. You will be pivotal in performing clinic consultations for hospital follow-up for post-stroke and TIA patients, including those who have previously received IV thrombolytic, mechanical thrombectomy, aneurysm embolization, or other neurosurgical procedures. • Collaborating effectively with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure integrated patient care.

• Providing comprehensive patient education on their condition, treatment plans, and preventative strategies.


• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records, ensuring thorough documentation of all patient encounters.
