Job summary

UHA University Health Associates seeks an Advanced Practice Professional to provide high-quality outpatient neurology care as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will assess, diagnose, and manage neurology patients, coordinate specialty involvement, and contribute to resident and student education.

The role requires graduate-level nursing or PA education, national certification, and WV licensure eligibility, with BLS and potential ACLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as RN and APRN in West Virginia.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification with possible ACLS training as required.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive and individualized ambulatory neurology patient care.
• Performs acute assessments and pre-procedure evaluations.
• Develops integrated and comprehensive treatment plans in coordination with neurology staff.
• Orders tests or consults when appropriate and communicates results.
• Coordinates follow-up care and referrals within the clinic and with hospital staff.
• Documents plan of care and evaluations in the medical record following policies.
