Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck, ND seeks a board-certified/eligible Neurologist to diagnose and treat a broad range of neurological disorders. Join a supportive team with 3 physicians and 1 APP in an outpatient setting, with hospitalist-led admissions and tele-stroke coverage.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration with neurosurgery, interventional radiology, and sleep medicine, and teaching opportunities with UND medical students and residents. EPIC is the EMR system.

Qualifications

• American Board Certified or Board Eligibility.
• Completion of an accredited Residency Program.
• Valid North Dakota medical license or eligibility for medical licensure in North Dakota.
• North Dakota DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Join 3 Physicians and 1 APP.
• Outpatient practice: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, with IP consultations.
• Hospitalists and Intensivists managed admissions.
• Call 1:3 - No Stroke Call.
• Minimum on-call load due to Telestroke services available 24/7 for ER and inpatient.
• Ability to conduct and perform EMG's and read EEG's.
• Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center.
• EMR: EPIC.
• Collaborate with Neurosurgery, Interventional Radiology, Sleep Medicine and Pain Management.
• Teaching opportunities with UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences Medical Students, UND Family Medicine Residents as well as Hospital Medicine Fellows
