Job summary

Ascension St. Joseph Hospital Chicago is seeking a full-time Neurologist to provide comprehensive general neurology services for outpatient and inpatient settings in Chicago, IL. The role includes a base salary in the range of $311,000 to $377,000, with a CME allowance of $5,000 and tail malpractice coverage.

The candidate must hold MD/DO credentials and be eligible for Illinois medical licensure and DEA registration. Board certification/eligibility is preferred.

Qualifications

• MD/DO credential required to practice medicine.
• Illinois license/eligibility required before hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Coordinates discharge planning with case management.
• Accepts referrals and serves as admitting/consulting physician as needed.
• Contributes to medical education and research programs when requested.
• Documents care to meet insurer requirements and handles denials appeals.
