Job summary

Veterans Health Administration within the Amarillo VA Health Care System is actively recruiting for a full-time Neurologist to treat and manage a broad range of neurological conditions in Veteran patients. The role includes conducting consultations, coordinating with primary care, and providing patient-centered care in a structured setting.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from LCME- or COCA-accredited school; for foreign grads, ECFMG eligibility must be shown.

Responsibilities

• Treat and manage neurological conditions including seizures, MS, neurodegenerative disorders, migraines, and more.
• Conduct neurology consultations and follow-up care with Veterans at the Amarillo VA Health Care System.
• Coordinate with primary care physicians as a consulting specialist.
• Diagnose neurological disorders and order diagnostic tests (blood tests, imaging).
• Perform lumbar puncture, Tensilon test, and EEG; develop patient-specific treatment plans.
