Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Neurologist at Nellis AFB in Nevada. This full-time position operates Monday–Friday 0730–1630 with on-call duties and outpatient care, including stroke coverage when on-call.

Responsibilities include examining and treating neurological disorders, providing emergency evaluations, and performing procedures such as lumbar punctures, EMG/NCS, EEGs, evoked potentials, and botulinum toxin injections. Nevada license required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an ACGME-approved Neurology residency.
• Minimum of 2 years of neurologic clinical experience.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• Board certification in adult Neurology.
• Unrestricted Nevada medical license.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases of the nervous system.
• Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergency problems.
• Perform lumbar punctures, nerve conduction studies, and EMG.
• Perform evoked potentials and EEGs.
• Provide chemodenervation (e.g., botulinum toxin) for common neurological conditions.

• Outpatient environment with consultation for inpatient services and stroke coverage when on-call

Requirements:

• Successful complete of ACGME approved Neurology Medical Residency
• Minimum of 2 years of neurologic clinical experience required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Board certification in adult Neurology
• Unrestricted Medical License in Nevada

Responsibilities:

• Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases and disorders of the nervous system.
• Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergency problems as they occur.
• Capable of performing lumbar punctures, interpreting nerve conduction studies and electromyography.
• Perform evoked potentials and electroencephalograms.
• Capable of providing chemo denervation (such as botulinum toxin injections) for common neurological conditions.
