Job Summary

The Physician provides direct clinical treatment services to patients, ensuring that patients receive the treatment necessary to treat their medical complaint. The Physician works constructively and collaboratively with other health professionals and focuses on attaining high standards of healthcare within their specialty.

Job Details and Requirements

• Position: Neurologist
• Location: Cape Girardeau, MO
• Employment type: Full‑time

Provide professional medical services in the field of neurology to patients and diligently work to establish, maintain and expand a medical practice in the community. Fulfill professional practice time commitment and participate in on‑call obligations. Work cooperatively with other providers to deliver and promote a ministry of healing, wellness, quality care, and exceptional service. Provide accurate and timely coding and documentation of all patient care and administrative services rendered in accordance with policies and procedures of the Health System, St. Francis Medical Partners, or Medical Center, as applicable. Participate in training programs to remain proficient in the electronic health record system and other information systems. Co‑operate with supervising and collaborative arrangements, coordinate with clinical staff, attend professional conventions and post‑graduate seminars, assist in recruitment of other neurology providers, and resolve any issues related to qualifications. Oversee day‑to‑day operations and management of the practice location, including professional direction and medical management. Maintain practice productivity and quality standards, participate in quality improvement, utilization review, risk management, performance improvement, and compliance initiatives, engage in clinical research and trials, and perform any other duties reasonably required by St. Francis Medical Partners.
