Job summary

Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group seeks a Neurointerventional & Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL. You will work with neurointerventionalists, neurosurgeons, neurologists, and stroke physicians to deliver comprehensive cerebrovascular and neurological care.

The role requires experience in neurointerventional surgery, stroke management, and inpatient neuroscience care, with strong clinical judgment and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Eligible for unrestricted Illinois licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in neurosurgery, neurocritical care, neurointerventional, stroke, or related neuroscience specialty strongly preferred
• Acute Care NP certification preferred for inpatient candidates
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage high-acuity patients
• Excellent communication and collaborative care skills

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, aneurysms, vascular malformations, and other complex neurological conditions
• Perform inpatient consultations, admissions, daily rounds, and discharge planning
• Support neurointerventional procedures and peri-procedural patient management
• Assist in the evaluation and management of neurosurgical patients before and after surgery
• Interpret diagnostic studies and collaborate on treatment planning
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care and facilitate transitions of care
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record
