Work Location:

Duke Hospital, Durham, NC (Primary). Role may include float between Duke Hospital, Duke Raleigh Hospital, Ambulatory Surgery Center, and Duke Regional Hospital.

Work Hours:

Standard business hours, with possible variation.

General Summary:

Oversee, manage, and coordinate the Neurodiagnostic department's operations, supervising a team of 10 with a mix of clinical and leadership duties.

Work Performed:
  1. Supervise scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
  2. Maintain competencies for complex procedures like EEG, evoked potentials, epilepsy monitoring, TCD, and polysomnography.
  3. Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures.
  4. Coordinate with medical staff and assist in capital and supply evaluations.
  5. Assist in budget planning, monitor expenditures, and serve as a liaison for equipment and procedures.
  6. Train staff, participate in personnel actions, and support departmental accreditation.
  7. Perform related duties as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  1. Some leadership experience preferred.
  2. Minimum 3 years of IOM experience required.
  3. Knowledge of complex craniotomy procedures.
  4. CNIM certification preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:

Preferably a Bachelor's degree in biology, physiology, psychology, or a related field.

At least 3 years of neurodiagnostics experience, including EEG, evoked potentials, epilepsy, PSG, and TCDs. Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
