Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist Level 2 to perform standard and complex studies with limited supervision, in support of our Epilepsy Unit.

The role provides training to ABRET eligible technologists and students, requires completion of an accredited program and at least 1 year experience, and emphasizes documentation and collaboration with medical personnel.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Tech Program.
• At least 1 year experience in electroneurodiagnostic technology.
• Demonstrates the ability to follow verbal instructions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Responsibilities

• Performs standard and complex Neurodiagnostic procedures for patients under limited supervision.
• Provides technical assistance and training to ABRET eligible technologists and students.
• Completes all necessary documentation for departmental records and patient procedures.
• Supports department goals and development of new programs in the Neurodiagnostic Lab and Epilepsy Unit.

The Neurodiagnostic Technologist Level 2 performs standard and complex Neurodiagnostic procedures for patients with limited supervision as directed according to established standards and practices. Provides technical assistance and training to ABRET eligible technologists and students. Completes all necessary documentation for departmental records and patient procedures. Supports all functions, goals, and objectives of the department as well as development of any new programs that involve the Neurodiagnostic Lab and Epilepsy Unit. Performs all the duties of the Neurodiagnostic Technologist Level 1.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Completion of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Tech Program.
• At least 1 year experience in electroneurodiagnostic technology.
• Demonstrates the ability to follow verbal instructions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
• American Board of Registration for Encephalographic Technologists Certification - R.EEG.
