Job summary

Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center seeks a Neurodiagnostic technologist to perform EEG and long-term monitoring, monitor patient brain activity, and assist neurologists in interpretation to support accurate diagnoses and treatment. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2 Year/Associate Degree preferred.
• Minimum two years pro experience in neurodiagnostics or one year in Surgical Monitoring or one year neuro and registered, required.
• Registry eligible or registered/certified in neurodiagnostic field, required.

Responsibilities

• Perform EEG and long-term monitoring (LTM) procedures with accurate documentation.
• Monitor patients, identify normal and abnormal brain patterns, communicate significant findings.
• Assist neurologists with EEG interpretation to support diagnosis and treatment.
• Rotate weekend and on-call assignments while delivering safe, high-quality patient care.
• Mentor new technologists and support quality initiatives and patient education.

What You'll Do

• Perform EEG and long-term monitoring (LTM) procedures while ensuringaccuratedocumentation.
• Monitor patients,identifynormal and abnormal brain patterns, and communicate significant findings.
• Assistneurologists with EEG interpretation to support diagnosis and treatment.
• Rotate weekend and on-call assignments while delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of two years professional experience in neurodiagnostics procedures or a minimum of one yr experience in Surgical Monitoring or one yr experience in neuro and is registered, required.
• Licensure/Certification: Registry eligible or registered/certified in a neurodiagnostic field, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)’ age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Maintain CPR. Able to identify basic cardiac rhythm and rate. Must be able to rotate call independently. Must be able to interpret basic encephalographic brain patterns; normal and abnormal. Must be able to rotate weekend shifts and or call independently. Must be able to assist Neurologists in the basic interpretation of encephalographic brain patterns; normal and abnormal.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Able to identify basic cardiac rhythm and rate. Assist and identify the basic interpretation of encephalographic brain patterns; normal and abnormal.
