Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist to join our Neurodiagnostic team. The role supports intraoperative monitoring, evoked potentials, EEG testing, and nerve conduction for diverse patient populations.

Strong understanding of EEG/EP instrumentation, safety, and neuroanatomy is required as part of a collaborative, not-for-profit health system. Ideal candidates have ENDT training, relevant credentials, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or: RN/tech prep preferred.
• Graduated from an approved program of Electroneurodiagnostic Technology (ENDT) or similar education is preferred.
• Experience in area of specialty or applicable health care experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, basic electronics and electrical safety, EEG and EP instrumentation, pattern recognition, and related conditions is required.
• Completion of department approved training program is required.
• Credentials: REEGT, REPT, CNCT, or R.NCS.T are acceptable.
• BLS certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.

Responsibilities

• May perform intraoperative monitoring, evoked potentials, nerve conduction, and EEG testing for all patient populations.
• Understand testing equipment, structure, indications for use, physiological effects, and maintenance procedures.
• Possess working knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, electronics and safety, EEG/EP instrumentation and related conditions.
