Overview

We are seeking Neurodiagnostic Technologists to join our team at Methodist Hospital and Riley Hospital for Children.

This is a pipeline requisition where candidates can apply for interest in the IU Health Neurodiagnostic technologist roles. Talent Acquisition will review the application based on qualifications and collaborate with the hiring leader on next steps. Below is a high‑level overview of the progressive advanced pathway available for the Neurodiagnostic technologist role with IU Health.

Tech I Responsibilities
  • Provides Neurophysiological testing and monitoring in clinical settings.
  • Accurately applies electrodes to patient.
  • Records impulse frequencies and differences in electrical potential between various areas of the brain to obtain data for use in diagnosis of brain disorders.
  • Documents unusual wave characteristics shown on tracings.
Tech II Responsibilities
  • Prepares and provides neurophysiological testing and monitoring in the clinical, Neurotelemetry, and EMU settings according to departmental guidelines.
  • Demonstrates knowledge/understanding of ICU, Epilepsy and seizure, neonatal and typical neurophysiological patterns.
  • Works with a minimal degree of supervision when recording and monitoring patient data.
  • Reports findings and triages patient care needs when necessary.
  • Maintains high quality recordings and is skilled in troubleshooting techniques.
  • Collaborates with the continued growth of less experienced team members, shares knowledge, and precepts peers.
Tech III Responsibilities
  • Prepares and provides neurophysiological testing and monitoring in the clinical, Neurotelemetry/EMU and intraoperative settings according to departmental guidelines.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in ICU, Epilepsy and seizure, neonatal and other complicated neurophysiological patterns.
  • Works with little to no supervision when recording and monitoring patient data.
  • Reports findings and triages patient care needs when necessary.
  • Maintains high quality recordings and is skilled in troubleshooting techniques.
  • Facilitates and collaborates with the continued growth of less experienced team members, shares knowledge, and precepts peers.
