Lehigh Valley Health Network, Inc. is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist for a day shift in Allentown. You will perform high-quality neurodiagnostic tests following ACNS guidelines and prepare patients with precise electrode placement for accurate readings for physician interpretation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree or enrollment in a neurodiagnostic program.
• Must maintain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality neurodiagnostic procedures following ACNS guidelines.
• Prepare patients for testing and ensure proper electrode placement.
• Provide direct patient care and support services as needed.
• Adhere to all policies, document accurately, and complete clerical tasks.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients.
• Cross-cover sites and shifts as required.

Must include accurate patient measurements and electrode application following the \"International System of Electrode Placement\" precise recordings, proper adjustment of equipment and testing procedures to reflect patient need and/or clinical physiology, enabling physician to make proper interpretation of study. Must be flexible to cross cover sites and assigned shifts. **Job Duties*** According to policy and procedures performs high quality neurodiagnostic procedures* According to policy and procedure, prepare patient for testing.* According to policy and procedure provides direct patient care and support service as direct by patient need.* Adheres to all polices and procedures and participates in all mandatory programs.* Ensures documentation is accurate and compete and performs a variety of clerical tasks.* Exhibits behaviors and attitude critical to successful role proficiency.* Utilizes effective communication skills in all interpersonal interaction with physicians, clinical staff, fellow employees, hospital staff and the public.* Performs other duties/goals as assigned. **Minimum Qualifications*** High School Diploma/GED* Ability to problem solve using basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.* Detail oriented with efficient computer skills.* Ability to work independently and interdependently with physicians, co-workers and other clinical staff.* American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 30 Days **Preferred Qualifications*** Associate’s Degree or* Enrolled in a neurodiagnostic school program. or* 1 year experience in healthcare or related field. **Physical Demands** Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. \\*Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
