Job summary

Ohio State University seeks a Neurodiagnostic Technician to perform electroneurodiagnostic procedures including EEG, EMG, EP, and EMU under medical direction. You will prepare patients and collect data for interpretation by physicians.

Qualifications

## Job Title:Neurodiagnostic Technician## Department:Brain and Spine | Electroencephalography**SCOPE OF POSITION**Neurodiagnostic services encompass all technical functions with the Electroencephalography (EEG), Electromyography (EMG), Autonomics, Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), and Evoked Potential (EP). The laboratories are diagnostic areas of the Department of Neurology for patients with suspected neurologic injury and/or disease. The EMU is the in-patient diagnostic area for patients with suspected epilepsy. The EEG laboratory is staffed Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with 24 hour, 7 day per week on-call service. The EMG laboratory is staffed Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EMU is staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.**POSITION SUMMARY**Under the medical direction of a physician and under the direct or general supervision of manager and/or the lead END technologist, the technologist performs a wide variety of electroneurodiagnostic procedures on patients with suspected neurologic injury and disease and monitors patients for seizure or other neurological disorders.
