Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Tech for Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Texas. You will conduct EEG recordings, evoked potentials, and specialized neurodiagnostic procedures across age groups, while collaborating with physicians for accurate diagnoses.

Role requires strong technical skills, neuroanatomy knowledge, and careful attention to detail, with emphasis on compassionate patient care and effective communication.

Qualifications

  • High School GED or High School Graduate.
  • Two years of EEG experience with licensure or two-year grace period to obtain licensure.
  • CPR/BLS within 14 days.
  • Registered EEG Technologist within 24 months.

Responsibilities

  • Perform standard and complex EEG recordings at bedside and in the lab for adolescent, adult and elderly patients.
  • Perform evoked potentials and nerve conduction studies.
  • Conduct specialized monitoring procedures including epilepsy monitoring, intraoperative EEG, brain mapping, and related tests.
  • Attend required in-services, follow hospital policies, and participate in goals.
  • Assist with reports delivery and patient transport to and from the laboratory.
  • Pursue ongoing professional growth through education and conferences.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Neurodiagnostic Tech, you\'ll perform specialized tests like EEGs, providing crucial data for diagnosing neurological conditions.

Every day you\'ll prepare patients, monitor neurological activity, manage equipment, and process data for physician review.

To be successful in this role, you need strong technical skills, neuroanatomy knowledge, and problem-solving abilities. Compassionate care, attention to detail, and effective communication are paramount for accurate diagnoses.

  • Perform accurate standard and complex EEG recordings at the bedside and in the laboratory on a routine, emergency and on‑call basis to adolescent, adult and elderly patients.
  • Performs evoked potentials and nerve conduction studies.
  • Performs specialized monitoring procedures which may include but not limited to: Epilepsy monitoring, Intraoperative monitoring EEG, Electrocorticography, Awake Craniotomy, Wada testing, brain mapping, transcranial Doppler.
  • Attend all hospitals required in‑services, adhere to departmental and hospital policies and procedures, participate in hospital and departmental goals and objectives.
  • Assist with delivering reports and transporting patients to and from the laboratory, as needed as well as any other job related duties as assigned.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through educational programs, current literature, Workshops and conferences.
  • Job Requirements*Required
  • High School GED or
  • High School Graduate
  • Two (2) years of experience with one Licensure and Certification or
  • Two (2) years of experience with two (2) year grace period to obtain Licensure and Certification
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days
  • Registered EEG Technologist, within 24 - months

Pay Range

$26.76 - $39.81 /hour
