Job summary

Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, TX is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Tech to perform EEG recordings and neurodiagnostic testing, at bedside or in the lab. The role includes patient preparation, data collection, and report delivery, with emphasis on accuracy and timely analysis.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited EEG program or on-the-job EEG training.
• Two licensure/certifications with 5 years experience, or one licensure with 6+ years experience.
• CPR/BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Registered EEG Technologist upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate standard and complex EEG recordings at bedside and in laboratory.
• Attend required in-services and participate in hospital/department goals.
• Maintain and clean equipment and laboratories daily.
• Transport patients and assist with reports as needed.
• Support professional growth through education and conferences.
• Assist physicians in brain/neurodiagnostic diagnosis.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As a Neurodiagnostic Tech, you\'ll perform specialized tests like EEGs, providing crucial data for diagnosing neurological conditions.

Every day you\'ll prepare patients, monitor neurological activity, manage equipment, and process data for physician review.

To be successful in this role, you need strong technical skills, neuroanatomy knowledge, and problem-solving abilities. Compassionate care, attention to detail, and effective communication are paramount for accurate diagnoses.

• Perform accurate standard and complex EEG recordings at the bedside and in the laboratory on a routine, emergency and on‐call basis to adolescent, adult and elderly patients.
• Attend all hospitals required in‑services, adhere to departmental and hospital policies and procedures, participate in hospital and departmental goals and objectives.
• Maintain and clean equipment and laboratory areas on a daily basis.
• Assist with delivering reports and transporting patients to and from the laboratory, as needed as well as any other job related duties as assigned.
• Enhance professional growth and development through educational programs, current literature, Workshops and conferences .
• Assist physicians in the diagnosis of diseases and disorders of the brain and central nervous system through the provision of neurodiagnostic testing.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School GED or
• High School Graduate
• Successful completion of an educational program for Neurodiagnostics (EEG) by an accredited program or on the job training
• Five (5) years of experience with two Licensure and Certifications or
• Six (6) or more years of experience with one Licensure and Certifications
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days
• Registered EEG Technologist, upon hire
