Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center Neurodiagnostic Technologist is sought to perform inpatient and outpatient EEG studies, long-term monitoring, and ambulatory EEG for both adult and neonatal patients. The role includes nerve conduction studies, assisting with EMG, and strict adherence to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inpatient and outpatient studies including routine EEG and long-term monitoring.
  • Conduct Ambulatory EEG and nerve conduction studies per protocols.
  • Assist with EMG testing and ensure accurate data collection.
  • Adhere to clinical standards and notify leadership of equipment issues.
  • Maintain supplies and support lab operations as needed.

Schedule:
  • Monday – Friday
  • 5x8s during training period with possibility of 4x10s post-training
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday call rotation required
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • EEG / LTM / Nerve Conduction / Neurodiagnostic experience highly preferred
  • Adherence to BJC EEG Training Program, with training collaboration at Barnes Jewish Hospital, as needed based on experience
Key Responsibilities:

Perform inpatient and outpatient studies, including:

  • Routine EEG
  • Long-Term Monitoring (LTM) for adult and neonatal patients
  • Ambulatory EEG
  • Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) in accordance with established clinical protocols and physician directives, assisting with Electromyography EMG testing
  • Ensure accurate data collection and adherence to all clinical standards
  • Perform other lab duties as necessary

The Missouri Baptist Medical Center Cardiac Testing department is a diagnostic testing center which focuses on identifying and evaluating cardiac disease processes. The department is comprised of RNs, cardiac sonographers, ECG techs, Nuclear Medicine technologists and administrative staff. The Cardiac Testing staff works in collaboration with Cardiologists to deliver high quality services to patients and their physicians.

Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose

Performs electroencephalographic testing in the laboratory and at the patient's bedside.

Responsibilities
  • Performs neurological testing using a variety of methods including digital and video EEG, and processes results.
  • Validates physician orders and documents patient and family histories.
  • Integrates the findings of EEG and EEG video data into clinically meaningful interpretations.
  • Notifies supervisor or leader of any problems regarding equipment failure or maintenance needs.
  • Maintains supplies.
