Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine seeks a skilled neurodiagnostic technician to perform nerve conduction studies, electromyography, and related autonomic tests for inpatients and satellite offices. The incumbent will assist physicians, take relevant medical histories, prepare patients, maintain equipment, and schedule testing in the EMR.

ABRET EEG eligibility is required, with current BLS by hiring. Prior END program or related experience is preferred, and strong English communication is essential to

Qualifications

Must be eligible to take the EEG Exam for ABRET credentials.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Current BLS certification by time of hire.
Ability to maintain a work pace and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

Perform nerve conduction studies, repetitive nerve stimulation, cranial nerve stimulation and autonomic testing.
Assist physicians in specialized neurodiagnostic studies in the lab and bedside.
Take medical histories related to neurological diagnosis and prepare patients for electrodiagnostic examinations.
Maintain rooms, calibrate equipment, stock supplies, and order supplies.
Schedule patients for electrodiagnostic testing in the Electronic Medical Records system.
