Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist Level 1 to perform standard and complex neurophysiological procedures under moderate supervision. You will assist students, document procedures, and support the Neurodiagnostic Lab and Epilepsy Unit.

The role covers electrode placements, routine EEGs, Video EEGs, evoked potentials, seizure support, and equipment maintenance. A high school diploma and BLS are required, with ABRET eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Able to follow verbal instructions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiar with Microsoft or Google productivity tools.
• AHA BLS Certification required.
• Eligible for ABRET registration.

Responsibilities

• Electrode placement using the 10-20 system.
• Perform routine EEGs per departmental protocols.
• Perform Video EEG long-term monitoring.
• Perform Visual, Brainstem, and Somatosensory Evoked Potentials.
• Provide support during seizures and patient care.
• Document procedures and billing as required.
• Maintain neurodiagnostic equipment and safety protocols.
